Την ιστορική Ιερά Μονή Μεγάλης Παναγιάς Σάμου, κτίσμα του 1566, με μεγάλη πνευματική, κοινωνική και εθνική δράση, επεσκέφθησαν οι Σεβασμιώτατοι Μητροπολίτες Σάμου κ. Ευσέβιος και Σύρου κ. Δωρόθεος Β΄, συνοδευόμενοι και από τους Ευεργέτες των Ιερών Μητροπόλεων Σάμου και Σύρου αδελφούς κ.κ. Εμμανουήλ και Στυλιανό Νιώτη, στην οποία εξεναγήθησαν από τον Ηγούμενο, Πανοσιολ. Αρχιμ. Χρυσόστομο.
